Pedicures

My boys are troopers!  They agreed to get their feet ready for the beach.  Peanut had to work and did not mind missing out on this experience.  I got to sit in between both of them.

This picture just makes me laugh.  Pumpkin's feet are so ticklish.  He was cracking up when they massaged his feet.  That is one of my favorite parts of the experience.  Neither opted for polish.  Thank goodness!
They made my evening.  Gotta cherish the memory.  Not sure it will happen again!

Lifeguard

Peanut started working, officially, this summer.  He is guarding at the Y.  He had to work a few days while Pumpkin was home.  This was his very first day.  He did not have his "real" tshirt yet.
This week he has worked lots making up for the all the days out on vacation.  It is still weird when my baby goes off to work...

Memorial Day 2015

We all got together for some Memorial Day socializing.  My brother smoked pork then pulled it.  He was up early.  It was so yummy.  It was fun to hang out with family.  I know mom enjoyed the chance to "escape."

Taste of Cincinnati

While we were home visiting family, we got to go to The Taste of Cincinnati.  I don't think I've ever been.  We met more of my siblings there and had a great time.
My sweet boys getting some aunt time in.

This would be Peanut's car of choice - if he had a choice!
Cincinnati has done so much on the riverfront at Smale Park.  They have adult swings.  They are the coolest things that look out over the river.  They recently added a foot piano.  We have to go back soon!

Most folks would see these are handrails for the steps down.  Not my boys.  They rode them down as a slide.
Even The Big Guy got in on the action...
I wish we lived closer…although, there was some funny pollen in the air.  About halfway through the evening, The Big Guy was completely stuffed up and his eyes were itching.  We all kind of felt tickles in our noses and scratches in our throats.  About thirty minutes in the A/C cured the ills.  We can't be allergic to my home city!

Visiting Marmaduke

No visit to Cincinnati would be complete without spending some time with mom.  She loves to get outside when she can.  So, we took her out and walked all around.

My boys are troopers.  Adam is the best wheelchair pusher.  Guess that is a plus for my future should I end up in one.

We were only home for a few days and got to see her mom a few times.  More pics to come...

TN State Track & Field Championships 2015

Peanut and I headed to Murfreesboro a day early to watch the girls run.  Believe it or not, it was cold out.  I was so glad I put the fleece blankets in the car.  Cool to watch as spectators but perfect running weather.
The next day, Pumpkin and the Big Guy showed up.  Weather was darn near perfect.
So nice to have us all together for a family photo.  Love!
Peanut was a bit nervous before the race.
He ran a personal best in the mile taking 11th place in a time just over 4:32.  Fast!  There are only 16 runners who qualified.  He ran the two mile too a few hours later.  His legs just did not recover.  Not many runners run two events.  So, he was competing with boys that had fresh legs.  All in all, we are very proud that he qualified in two events.  The competition is pretty fierce.  There were only three state qualifiers from his school.  I know he was glad to be done with track.  After a two week break, he will start cross country.

Porcellino's

There is a new craft butcher shop in town.  It is a very unique concept supplying their meats for their other restaurants.  I'd heard good things about the breakfast.  I snagged both boys and we went.
The biscuit was one of the best.  This just might be added to the-after-mass rotation!
