Nine days later...
It seems like I've forgotten about my blog. I can't believe it has been nine days since I posted.
Today is the start of spirit week at the high school. Peanut's class was the 1990's. Wasn't that just yesterday? Anyway, he wore the shirt the Big Guy had on when I was admitted to the hospital for my pregnancy bed rest with Pumpkin. I have mixed emotions when I look at that shirt!

Racquetball
Last week at this time, Pumpkin and the Big Guy were off to play racquetball. Peanut was the commentator. He took some good videos too. He did not play because he had to run later in the day.
I tell you what. It is so nice having them home and all together. It pulls on my heart strings as the time together flies by. Only two more weeks, but who is counting. And, I am not sure what I'm going to do after that. Thanksgiving is quite a few more weeks away...

Twilight Classic 2015
Saturday night was the annual cross country night race at a local soccer complex. If you look closely, Peanut is about the second boy from the left as they started the race, all 386 runners!
Here he is coming in to the finish. Love the facial expression that was captured.
It was a hot one. I was so relieved to see how strong he looked coming in to the finish.
Post race - hot, tired, and hungry.
For three years now, Peanut has worked in the Attendance office for Ms. Marci. She was kind enough to come out and watch them run. These two guys work together in the office. This is their second year in a row. They like it!
Of course, the best cheerleader of all was at the meet! I know Peanut enjoyed having Pumpkin there.

Go Cardinals!
The Big Guy and Pumpkin are Cardinals fans. In celebration of Pumpkin's birthday, we decided to go to a game. Now, I think we all are fans! I have to admit, though, the drive to St. Louis is boring!
Here we are leaving the hotel before the game. We weren't glistening, yet.
It was very hot outside. Busch stadium and the surrounding area is very impressive. The Fox Live area, essentially all bars, was hopping before the game.
We had fabulous seats! We got there early. Each of us got a free baseball cap. Pumpkin is modeling.
Look at our view. It is a beautiful place. My entire life I've lived east of the Mississippi. St. Louis plays with my sense of direction as the river is on the east.
The worst part was that the Cardinals lost. That was a bummer!
Of course, we had to try some Ted Drewes after the game.
Bright and early this morning, Pumpkin hopped on a plane to go back to CT. It was a very fast weekend, but was wonderful to see him. What you can't see in this selfie is that we are wearing matching shirts.
We are so proud of all that he is doing. We will see him soon. Parents' Weekend is in three weeks!

Together
Nothing makes my heart happier than to see these two boys together. Pumpkin is home for quick weekend. Delta decided to make it even shorter. But, that is water under the bridge. We are enjoying the time.

Cardinals
Watch out Cardinals, after 14 years we are coming back to watch! Two, ok, maybe three boys, would be thankful for a win!! I'm just going to savor the time together.

Big 20!!
Happy Birthday, Pumpkin! I can't believe he is out of his teen years. On my morning walk, I was reflecting on twenty years ago. We got up bright and early with a scheduled time to be at the hospital at 7am. When we got there, we were sent home. There wasn't any room at the hospital. I did not mind going back home as I knew this birthing thing was going to hurt! At the end of the day, we went back to the hospital. Pumpkin was born at 10:50pm. What an amazing ride it has been. Being mom is the best job!
On Pumpkin's first birthday, we met family and celebrated in Pittsburgh. We had breakfast at Eat n Park before heading our separate ways. The smiley cookies are a trademark of the restaurant. Since we aren't in CT celebrating with Pumpkin, we sent him some cookies for his birthday. This is the selfie I got last night. Love this boy!
They are appropriately decorated for baseball. Pumpkin's coming home for a quick weekend and we are going to a Cardinals game. So. Excited! Praying all the airline angels are in place to get him home and back without issue! Can't wait to give him a big 'ol birthday hug!!
