Inherited Roses

When we cleaned out my inlaws house a few years ago, Pumpkin dug up some scraggly rose bushes and replanted them in our yard.  For years, my inlaws grew lovely roses in three dedicated beds.  For whatever reason, they got rid of all of them.  The plants Pumpkin dug up were volunteers in their raised beds.  They did not do much last year in our yard.  But, this year, we have flowers!  They warm my heart!

Look closely at this last picture.  There are two more buds on the plant.
Now.  I have to remember to take time and go outside and look at the rose bushes.

:) They are pretty!! Roses need a lot of care, so I understand that they couldn't do that anymore. That was so sweet that Pumpkin planted them for you!
