Vaca Sunday

We got up early Sunday morning with the intention of going to church.  So much for being able to find the church!  According to the map, it was supposed to be right there.  I normally have a great sense of direction too!  We never found it and opted for breakfast.  The breeze in Barbados was lovely.  It is constant.  Probably should have given more thought to the hairstyle.  I needed it to be longer or shorter to fair better in the winds.
Later in the afternoon, we hit a beach that was close by.  It was a tad bit grey out, but did not hamper the time spent in the ocean.
Right across the street from the condo was a restaurant.  We tried it out for dinner.  Their specialty was tapas.  We shared a variety.  I migrated back to my favorite, hummus.  What these pictures can't capture is the sound of the ocean hitting the shore about 50 yards away.  The sound and the saltwater air is just magical!

As is custom on vacation, we tend to only eat two meals a day.  That gives us the right to splurge on desserts, right?  The Big Guy and I shared.  It was okay.  The presentation was gorgeous, though.

Barbados is not a volcanic island.  It was formed from limestone simplifying the water purification process.  As a result, their tap water is fine to drink.  We were so glad to find this out as we all tend to drink lots of water.
