When I became a mom, I wanted to suffer any pain or injury my children suffered. Who knew I'd feel that way about the one who raised me.
It has done a complete 360. The Circle of Life has completely influenced me. As the procedure begins this evening, I'd give anything to switch places.

Edited late in the evening 1/15/13 - surgery went well. Now the work begins...

I'm so relieved that she has made it through and we'll continue praying for her healing! I know what you mean about taking on the suffering of others. I think that's why I'm so motivated to learn what I can to help avoid it or alleviate it. I'm thankful to good surgeons too, that can do these great things!
