A day or so after I took the pictures of our beautiful maple trees, lots of the leaves were gone. We put the boys to work raking. They begged to jump in the pile before we moved it to the curb.
Now, the leaves are all off the trees. For the remainder of the winter, we will only get the leaves from our neighbor's pin oak tree. There is a touch of sadness that comes with fall as all dies off to sleep for the winter. On the other hand, fall is the time to rejuvinate, step back and take it all in. We are enjoying the cool mornings. The dog and I like the cool air in our lungs are we make our morning trek around the block.
